Some preschool shots...

For photographing 28 kids, this shoot was a breeze...the weather on the second day was ridiculously cold, and the 3 year olds handled it like champs. They were fantastic. I thought I'd share a few to show what my typical 'school' shoots will look like.

Oh these chewy cheeks...

Oh, how I could've chewed all over this little guy - what a doll. And we couldn't believe he stayed asleep when we put him in the leaves - jackpot!

The Christmas Mini-Sessions...

...were a hit. There are things I will do a bit differently next year, but I definitely like the concept. Here are a few from the several I did. The families were so fun, and I hope to be able to capture them in a longer session in the future!

Cute Cute Cute...

Look at the size of the little guy's beautiful eyes!
I felt right at home at this shoot as I was photographing three brothers not much different in age than my own monkey men. It was great, and the weather was perfect for some outdoor shots! And it didn't hurt that they were all cute as buttons.

Bouncing off the Walls

Wow. I'm on a steroidal dose pack because of a bad root canal I had a couple weeks ago. It was bad because it didn't work. My nerves were basically exposed for two weeks, and I didn't get it fixed until I visited an endodontic specialist on Tuesday. It's done now, though, thank God. But, this medicine is making me nuts. I'm hyped up, and very snappy. Grumpity grump grump. My poor kids are ready to lock me up.

And, you'd think with all this extra energy I have, I'd be blazing through shoots and all the other things I have looming over me. But I'm not. I'm just feeling sorry for myself for feeling so crappy, so all the crap I have to get done is just staring me in the face.

Actually, I have been processing a lot. A LOT. I finished up a shoot this afternoon, and I have one more to be caught up before I start processing a preschool shoot I did today and yesterday. The kids were so fantastic, especially since it was so cold today! I'm so pumped to get those done. I think they're going to be great - we had perfect outdoor light on both days...overcast and gray; I love light like that.

Anyway - I can't wait to get my photography stuff planned and implemented for the new year. I'm going to launch my website in January, and I'll have a lot of 'biznessy' stuff added to it. I'll never get rid of this blog, but I want to have a place where everyone can go to see examples of my best work and get all the info they need quickly. I'll also have client galleries so everything will be in one convenient place. I'm going to take the break I have between 12.14 and 1.14 to get everything with it ready to go.

Anyway...I'll post the pics of the family shoot I just processed in a bit.

Senior Shoot

The afternoon of this shoot was so cold! We ended up getting some great shots despite the weather, and I actually got D to grin a bit - shocker! I had a lot of fun, and I love the results.

This is the shoot of the dad with his grown kids. It was truly one of the most fun shoots I've been a part of, and I hope it shows through in the photos.

If this little doll doesn't get you in the Christmas spirit, I don't know what will! Is she not adorable? Oh my - I can smell her cuteness through the screen. We got some great ones, and then she pooped out on us. It ended up being a great thing though because I was able to capture her looking like quite the little angel in her sleep. I love the low contrast look to the sleeping ones.
