Downtown

This shoot was so fun; I loved walking around downtown with all the Christmas decorations and lights. Teddy, my subject, wasn't too fond of me and my camera, but I managed to sneak a few in on him anyway. And K, his mommy, was great, despite the very cold wind! She's used to it though, as I am NOT. Thanks K and Teddy; I enjoyed hanging out with both of you in the city!

Wow. Wow. Wow!

I'm back from a busy, but very exciting SIX shoot weekend in Chicago. I'll be processing photos all week, and I will post some as I get a chance. I can't wait to get them on here; I'm very happy with how the shoots went, and I absolutely loved meeting all of the wonderful families. I could so see myself hanging out with them; they were definitely my kind of people. And the kids...oh, the gorgeous kids....

Thank you, M, for being the hostess with the mostess once again. I don't know what I'd do without you.

Mr. D and Reese

This little BIG guy was one for the books. He was just out of the bath when I got there and he just checked out my camera and me before he started to ham it up. I caught the close-up shots when he was being inquisitive, and I LOVE them. Is he beautiful or what? And Reese...oh Reese. That dog ROCKS. She was so gentle with D, and he absolutely delighted in chasing her around the yard. I want a dog just like her. Oh, and it's not hard to see where Mr. D gets his good looks - check out Mom and Dad!

Family Shoot

You probably recognize M and C from a shoot I did in September...we added in a beautiful cousin this time, and all the parents! We got some good shots despite the kiddos' best efforts to sabotage our plans! :)

Some preschool shots...

For photographing 28 kids, this shoot was a breeze...the weather on the second day was ridiculously cold, and the 3 year olds handled it like champs. They were fantastic. I thought I'd share a few to show what my typical 'school' shoots will look like.

Oh, how I could've chewed all over this little guy - what a doll. And we couldn't believe he stayed asleep when we put him in the leaves - jackpot!

The Christmas Mini-Sessions...

...were a hit. There are things I will do a bit differently next year, but I definitely like the concept. Here are a few from the several I did. The families were so fun, and I hope to be able to capture them in a longer session in the future!
